DESCRIPTION:Curt München und VISIONS Magazin präsentieren: Comecerts #6 \nMit Wang Wen (惘闻) (Space Circle Music\, Dalian) und Saroos (Alien Transistor\, Berlin) kommen zwei gleichsam epische Bands zum nächsten chinesisch-deutschen Gipfeltreffen nach München! \nEinlass: 19:30 Uhr\nKonzert: 20:30 Uhr \nIm Anschluss: Chinesischer Schnaps\, Lieder und Beisammensein mit Wang Wen \nTickets:\nAK €13\nVVK: €12\,05 – go get it! \nBeide Bands eint die unglaubliche Freude Klänge in ihrer Fülle zu erforschen\, neu zu ordnen und durch Rhythmen und ganz eigene Arrangements zu formen. Beide Bands sind gleichsam umtriebig. Gemeinsam mit P.K.14’s Yang Haisong veröffentlicht Wang Wen (惘闻)’s Xie Yugang die experimental Alben White Shirt und Blazy. Saroos‘ Max Punktezahl spielt Gitarre bei Notwist\, Christoph Brandner Schlagzeug bei Lali Puna und Flo Zimmer Modularsynthesizer bei Driftmachine. \nWährend Post Rock in Deutschland momentan ein oftmals unterrepräsentiertes und unterschätztes Genre ist\, so trifft es in China jedoch den Nerv der Zeit. Durch das Zusammentreffen der beiden Bands bietet sich die Gelegenheit Gemeinsamkeiten zu finden\, Ländergrenzen zu überbrücken und Musik als solche zu feiern. Sicherlich entsteht hier bei dem einen oder anderen Zuschauer die Lust sich tiefer mit der Materie zu befassen und ein besseres Verständnis für chinesische Musik zu bekommen. Das Import Export ist hierfür der ideale Raum. \nWir hoffen auf Kulturaustausch „at its best“ und nach den Konzerten mit Hiperson/海朋森 X Tom Wu\, Rumpeln\, Chui Wan X Markus Acher (Notwist) und Constantin John (Persona)\, u.a.\, auf einen weiter vertieften Austausch zwischen den Musik-Szenen München und China. Auf der anderen Seite konnte sich Saroos‘ Max Punktezahl bei der vergangenen China-Tour von The Notwist bereits ausgiebige Eindrücke machen. \nHelft uns dabei und kommt zahlreich! Ihr macht den Abend wunderbar! \nEine Vorband als solche gibt es an diesem Abend nicht. Der Abschluss gehört aufgrund der längeren Anreise den Gästen. \nPressetickets\, Interviews mit den Bands und Kollaborationen auf Anfrage möglich. \n—————— \nWANG WEN \nExperimental post-rock band\, Wang Wen\, is one of the pillars of contemporary Chinese rock music. Founded and residing in Dalian\, the band has released 9 studio albums and 1 split vinyl with Swedish intrumentalists Pg.Lost. The band never compromised on their music and has been playing all over the world ever since. \nWang Wen’s latest studio album “Sweet Home\, Go!” continues their 17- year long journey to understand themelves and the outside world through their music. This ambitious journey has brought them tremendous success in their home country China\, where the band is named China’s most prominent instrumental band and has been selling out 1500- capacity venues across country on their recent tour. \nhttps://wangwen.bandcamp.com/ \nSAROOS \nWith their fourth full-length “Tardis”\, the German trio Saroos imaginatively captures the unimaginable. For the densely layered album\, they got together with the producer Tadklimp to explore new possibilities. With its laid-back rhythms\, thick modular sound design and lush harmonies\, their fourth LP for the Notwist-run Alien Transistor label is an invitation to a voyage through time and relative dimension in space: »Tardis« conjures the friendly ghosts of vaguely remembered memories. That Saroos still exist and even make music together seems improbable. Ten years ago\, Florian Zimmer (of Driftmachine) left the band’s native Munich for Berlin\, shortly after Max Punktezahl (of The Notwist\, Contriva) relocated to Hamburg while drummer Christoph Brandner (of Lali Puna) stayed in the Bavarian capital. Scattered all over Germany\, the trio however manages to lock itself in a studio from time to time and even go on extensive tours they tackle by taking the train. Saroos is founded on a consistent friendship between the three musicians which originally kicked off as an artistic collaboration in 1998\, when both Zimmer and Brandner were part of Lali Puna. From there it has slowly evolved into what Saroos is now: An ever changing creative force\, which has now been meticulously channelled into their strongest musical statement thus far. \nhttps://saroos.bandcamp.com/
