Alien Puzzle #1 

Durch das (von Notwist in den Kammerspielen kuratierte) Alien Disko Festival haben sich viele Verbindungen, Kontakte und Freundschaften in die ganze Welt, vor allem aber nach Japan ergeben, die auch über das Festival hinaus Bands und Projekte nach München bringen. Das Alien Puzzle präsentiert nun zum ersten Mal im neuen Theater Heppel & Ettlich grenzüberschreitende, experimentelle Musik, die sich nicht in bestimmte Genres zuordnen lassen will und ihren eigenen Stil erfindet.

HINOSCH

HINOSCH is a duo which consists of Koshiro Hino from Osaka and Stefan Schneider from Düsseldorf. Their collaborational work only began in 2017 when Schneider and Hino started to explore contrasting possibilities of musical interaction. After a number of concerts in the EU and in Japan an EP production (HINOSCH EP/TAL05) has been released already in late 2017.Fully instrumental, the album HANDS offers a more steeply focussed approach than its largely improvised predecessor. Encouraged by the momentum generated during a number of on-the-spot recordings in Osaka, where Schneider had held a residency in April 2017, the overall sound of the album has finally been honed down through meticulous production work in the studio. After having emerged from the ever thrilling Osaka music scene onto the international playgrounds of electronic music just a few years ago Koshiro Hino’s solo activities as YPY and his involvement with the band GOAT have already garnered him a very favourable international reception. Stefan Schneider has played and produced with to rococo rot, kreidler and has collaborated with a.o. Joachim Roedelius (Cluster), Arto Lindsay, Dieter Moebius (Cluster), Alexander Balanescu, Katharina Grosse, Bill Wells and St.Etienne. His solo project is called mapstation.

YOU + YOUR DEAD METAL FRIEND

In 2015, Cico Beck ( Joasihno, Aloa Input, the Notwist ) and Markus Acher ( the Notwist, Tied & Tickled Trio, Rayon ) started the project “You + Your D.Metal Friend” as a collective for improvisations and ideas apart from their other bands.  For “Sonnier”, their first recordings, Cico and Markus started with percussion instruments from around the globe, analogue synthesizers and all kinds of acoustic and electronic devices to layer music that sounds like the memory of Gamelan, Italian library-records and minimal electronic experimentation… music, they listened to a lot before recording.
